Green Construction Materials

Green design and construction uses our resources more efficiently.  The main focus of green construction is to build while not making such a scarring impact on the environment.  “Green design involves finding the delicate balance between homebuilding and the sustainable environment.”  Those who build green want to help preserve the environment today so that future generations will be able to meet their needs tomorrow.

There are an endless number of ways to build an environmentally friendly house or business.  However, we will focus on materials that have been recycled or reclaimed.  Recycled materials, such as aluminum from cans or rubber tires, as well as reclaimed materials, wood, appliances, etc that has been salvaged from older buildings as well as timber that has already been fallen (rather than newly cut wood), are used in green construction to build, support, or decorate a home.  This idea gives a use for waste while also helping to cut back on overuse of the environment.
